EXPERIENCE THE TRANQUILITY AND BEAUTY OF OUR MEMORIAL PARK, WHERE FAMILIES COME TOGETHER TO CREATE LASTING MEMORIES.

DONATE

My parents, Raymond and Delores Hopfinger, proudly farmed their land in Port Clinton, Ohio for over 35 years. My husband Jack and I decided to donate their property to build a free, safe, and beautiful space for families to enjoy in their honor.   My parents were generous and humble people and would appreciate the idea of donating the land they loved to a community in which they were proud to be a part.

Jack and I have excavated the land, installed walking trails, dug a pond, built a bridge and planted trees to beautify this public space. The Toledo Chapter of the Ohio Contractors Association generously donated time and resources to build a park access road and parking lots as part of their 2018 Community Service Project.

Since we began this journey in 2016, we’ve used your generous donations towards purchases of playground equipment, pavilions & gazebos with picnic tables & grills, basketball & pickleball courts, sand volleyball courts, a 2 acre fenced puppy park, a sledding hill, a skating rink, and another 3.5 acre pond stocked with fish (catch and release, please). The park has become a popular destination for local families. We want to continually grow and maintain this beautiful park, and your donation would be greatly appreciated!

On behalf of our family, we’d like to thank you for your donation.  We’d also like to publicly thank our friends and family who have donated their time and resources to help build our park. Generosity has made this dream a reality! Thank you!

Respectfully,
Lorraine Zimmerman
